Compassion Over Killing held its Summer Soirée last night in Hermosa Beach, on a rooftop with a lovely view of the ocean. My good friend Gwen catered the event and I helped with some of the food prep and as a hostess at the event.
Look at all of this amazing vegan food that Gwen created! We had Daiya-stuffed pretzel bites, spicy sweet potato fries, wrapped veggie dogs, sliders, baby banana splits, apple Daiya cheddar tarts, watermelon with Daiya havarti, mini cupcakes, chocolate covered “bacon,” truffle popcorn, and chocolate peanut butter butter truffles (the truffles were donated by Chef AJ).
We had a lovely view of the beach and ocean from the rooftop patio. The evening was a great success, raising money to fund CoK’s important work helping farmed animals.
